Five Sony Xperia handsets get a price cut in India

Sony slashes price of Xperia Neo L, Sola, Xperia SL, GO and U
Last week, Samsung slashed prices of its few Galaxy smartphones and offered a New Year gift to its consumers. Now it is Sony’s turn to slash the price of its popular Xperia handsets.Sony xperia SL
The five Xperia handsets getting the price cut are the Xperia U which will be available at Rs. 13,990, Xperia go priced at Rs. 14,490, Xperia Sola at Rs. 14,490, Xperia neo L at Rs. 14,990 and the costly Xperia SL which will be available at Rs. 25,990. Now these handsets will be available with new prices at both online stores as well as retail stores across India.
The latest price cuts by major companies like Samsung and Sony will only make the market more competitive and it may be expected that the slash in prices would reflect positively on the sales as well.
Sony will also be unveiling its flagship device Xperia Z globally in the latter half of 2013, however, it must be worth waiting to see whether the company launches it in India or not.
