Android 2.3 Gingerbread and 4.04 ICS are the most loved by malware

Android is an OS that’s highly prone to malware attack. According to Kaspersky Lab, it’s detected and blocked a massive of of 1,347,231,728 threats in Q3 this year, which 56 percent of exploits utilized the vulnerabilities in Java.
The two Android OS versions that are the most commonly attacked are the Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread and Android 4.04 Ice Cream Sandwich, which accounts for 28 percent and 22 percent respectively. The Android Gingerbread is the most widely used Android OS which is the reason why it’s got the most attacks from malware.
According to Kaspersky, it saw a 3 percent increase of URLs serving malicious codes in Q3 with a massive figure of 91.9 million compared to Q2 this year.
This is not new about Android smartphones or tablets getting lots of malware attacks. If you’re a user of Android devices, you’ve gotta be always alerted and install the Kaspersky pack on your device may save you from the attacks. Or switch to iOS if you do not want all the risks and hassles.
